Information We May Collect

The waiting list may collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, optional phone number, audience or interest category, marketing-consent choice, organization or role information if provided, and communication or follow-up history where applicable.

Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

The waiting-list form is intended for adults. Please do not submit personal information about a child. We do not use the waiting list to collect a child’s name, email address, phone number, voice, photo, precise location, or account information.

Children’s & Student Privacy

Catholic Phonics is designed for children with adult support, and child/student privacy is being built into the product architecture before public child-facing data collection launches. Child profiles are adult-managed and are designed to use the minimum information needed for learning rather than requiring a child email address, birthdate, home address, precise location, or advertising identifier.

Child/student information will not be sold or rented, used for targeted or behavioral advertising, used to build unrelated commercial profiles, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Catholic Phonics does not create voiceprints or biometric identity templates from pronunciation practice.

Where verifiable parental consent or another legally valid parent/guardian authorization is required, the production feature must obtain and record it before the covered collection or use. When a school is permitted to authorize an educational use, that authority is limited to the school-authorized educational purpose and is not permission for unrelated commercial reuse. Catholic Phonics does not claim COPPA, FERPA, SOPIPA, or other legal certification merely from these design commitments; final notices, consent methods, contracts, vendors, retention schedules, and data flows will be reviewed before launch.

Purposes for Collection

We use waiting-list information to operate the waiting list, respond to inquiries, provide requested information, send confirmation messages, administer demo or school/parish inquiries, provide Catholic Phonics updates when permitted, protect system security, and comply with law.

We may maintain information about the status of an inquiry or relationship, such as whether we have responded, whether follow-up was requested, or whether a private preview has been requested or scheduled.

We may use information you provide and actions you voluntarily take, such as identifying an institutional interest, requesting a private preview, replying to correspondence, or requesting follow-up, to help prioritize and respond to inquiries. This prioritization is based on voluntary first-party engagement, not wealth profiling, demographic profiling, precise-location scoring, or automated consequential decision-making.

We may maintain internal notes and communication history related to an inquiry or relationship so we can respond appropriately and maintain continuity in follow-up.

Email / Waiting List

Joining the waiting list does not require agreeing to ongoing marketing emails. If you choose to receive Catholic Phonics updates, curriculum previews, product news, or launch information by email, that consent is recorded with your submission.

Marketing Opt-Out

You may opt out of Catholic Phonics marketing emails through a secure link in a message, using the Unsubscribe / Email Preferences page, or by contacting support@catholicphonics.com. Read Privacy Choices for other privacy requests. An unsubscribe requires confirmation through an email link or a support request; visiting an information page alone does not change your settings. Opting out of marketing does not prevent essential transactional messages related to requests or services you initiate, where appropriate.

Website Analytics / Technical Data

The website and API may receive ordinary technical data through hosting, security, and infrastructure providers, such as pages requested, technical request information, and security logs. For waiting-list operations, Catholic Phonics may store privacy-conscious lead metadata such as approximate city, state/region, and country when provided by the hosting platform, referral domain, landing-page path, and campaign attribution parameters such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, or term.

We may record a general device category, such as mobile, tablet, or desktop, to understand and improve how the website is used.

The waiting-list system is not designed to store raw IP addresses, browser fingerprints, device fingerprints, precise latitude or longitude, ISP, ASN, full user-agent strings for long-term profiling, or tracking identifiers.

Browser Privacy Signals & Cross-Site Collection

On the current pre-launch public website, Catholic Phonics does not deploy third-party advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral analytics scripts, and does not intentionally monitor a visitor's activity over time across unrelated websites. We do not sell or share visitor information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Our public website does not change its behavior in response to a browser Do Not Track (DNT) signal. We do not currently provide a separate cross-site behavioral advertising opt-out because we do not engage in that advertising activity. We will review legally applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, before activating any activity that requires such a choice.

Website hosting, security, and email-service providers can process technical requests or information needed to deliver and protect their services. Based on the public website resources reviewed for this notice, we have not embedded third-party advertising or analytics technology that permits those parties to collect visitors' browsing activity across different websites. We review any new embedded scripts, tracking technologies, and service providers before enabling them and will update this notice if those practices change.

Educational App Data

Planned app features may involve learning progress, practice activity, pronunciation practice, handwriting reinforcement, assignments, and parent-supported review. Persistent child learning records are designed to use pseudonymous internal identifiers and minimum-necessary educational state rather than direct identity in analytics/reporting.

Pronunciation audio is intended to be collected only when a learner or supporting adult intentionally starts the feature, processed only as needed for the educational interaction, and not retained as raw child audio by default. The normal design stores only the minimum derived learning result needed for progress. Any future feature that proposes longer retention of child audio, photos, handwriting images, or similar sensitive content requires a separate privacy/security review, notice/authority analysis, retention period, and deletion path before production.

AI and Automated Processing

AI-assisted features are planned to operate under Catholic Phonics governance, Catholic content safeguards, licensing controls, privacy minimization, and human review. Direct child identity should be removed before an AI request when it is not necessary. Child/student personal information, voice/audio, transcripts, and learning records are not used to train general-purpose AI models or to create advertising, personality, faith, demographic, or vulnerability profiles.

Third-Party Services

Categories of service providers that may process information for current website operations include cloud hosting and content delivery, website/API security and abuse prevention, database or storage infrastructure, and transactional or opted-in email delivery. For example, Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and its API. These providers may receive technical connection information as part of their services; Catholic Phonics does not intentionally use that information for cross-site behavioral advertising.

We disclose information to service providers only for the authorized purpose and subject to applicable contractual and security controls. Future payment, school, voice, and AI providers must receive a separate privacy review before covered production data is shared. Child/student providers must be reviewed for data scope, educational purpose, security, retention/deletion, subprocessors, incident duties, advertising/profiling restrictions, and AI-training restrictions before receiving production child/student data. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Payments & Financial Information

Future subscription payments are designed to use provider-hosted or tokenized payment collection so Catholic Phonics does not store full card numbers, security-code values, online-banking login credentials, or full bank account/routing credentials in the application database. Billing and subscription administration is adult-only.

QuickBooks and financial-institution connectivity, if later activated, is designed as an accounting/reconciliation connection rather than a banking-control feature. The planned first connection mode is read-only and does not authorize Catholic Phonics to initiate ACH, pay bills, make card payments, transfer money, or modify bank accounts.

Data Retention

We retain information only for the documented purpose and period reasonably necessary for that purpose, including service delivery, parent/school requests, security, accounting, contractual records, suppression/unsubscribe requirements, or law. Child/student personal information must not be retained indefinitely “just in case.” When a child profile is deleted, the production design severs its link to the pseudonymous analytics identity so any legitimately retained aggregate record can no longer resolve back to that child/family through that link. Final retention schedules will be documented before public child-data collection launches.

Security

Catholic Phonics uses and is building safeguards appropriate to the service and data involved, including server-side authorization, least-privilege administrative access, protected secrets, environment separation, audit evidence for sensitive operations, encryption through approved infrastructure, and incident-response planning. Child/student and payment data receive stricter access and minimization boundaries. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails, ask privacy-related questions, or request privacy-related action by contacting support@catholicphonics.com. Additional choices may be added as app, account, or school/parish features launch.

Changes to This Policy

We will post revisions on this page and update the effective or last-updated date above. When a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it through an appropriate channel, such as the contact email associated with an affected adult account or request, before the changed practice takes effect.
